Art has always been a significant component of high-level discussions at Özyeğin University. Art has expanded the boundaries of research and discussions across disciplines, ever deepening our comprehension.  It has offered us out-of-the-box perspectives, a new outlook for our respective fields. Over the past few years, in addition to numerous student club activities, high quality discussions were held at the departments of architecture and design, law, politics, international relations, and gastronomy through art.  These discussions covered a broad range of topics from cruelty to animals as a performance of art to the question “When can food be considered art?”.

But the hallways on campus do much better than this. On the turf, in the elevator waiting areas, and almost in every moment of our daily lives, we come across with the artworks from the extensive Uni-Art collection, which vest students with knowledge of art, without even them realizing it.  The covert education offered through art starts from our campus hallways. Integrating this covert education into  academic education and personal development programs is possible and essential. OzUArts is a project developed by the Sustainability Platform in 2020 in order to achieve this integration and create a common platform to activate the transformational and unitary power of art. The driving force of the Uni-Art collection, OzUArts was established to serve as an interactive, digital art platform.
